This is a new event for the Expo this year. FFF certified instructors, both CIs and Masters, .....participate in Continuing Education.....to renew, enhance, expand teaching and casting skills and knowledge.

2:00 PM Distance Casting with FFF Master Instructor Eric Cook.
This workshop will cover tips and techniques for adding distance to your cast. The secrets are in the details and there will be things you never thought of that will change the way you get distance from now on. These details will enable you to reach the fish that were once out of your range with not only increased distance but with increased control and accuracy. The ability to double haul is recommended. Bring 5 weight or heavier lines and rods - no shooting heads.

2:00 PM An Introduction to Fly Fishing with FFF Casting Board of Governor member Capt. Pete Greenan This is an introductory demonstration for novice anglers wanting to get started in fly fishing. I will demonstrate and explain the basic mechanics of fly fishing including equipment, casting styles, line management, techniques and practice procedures. Attendees will learn the casts needed to catch both fresh and saltwater fish. All are welcome. 1 hr
3:00 PM Emergency Casting Clinic - Improve your casting or fix a casting problem with FFF Master Instructor Jim Penrod. This clinic is for anyone seeking help with casting problems and will begin with a brief review of basic loop formation and control techniques. Other FFF Master certified instructors will assist.

  Casting Pond #2 will be used during the day for anglers wishing to show their casting skills and for attendees wishing to try out new equipment exhibited by vendors.
